《鞋店事務所》是由艾美獎得主，《波士頓法律》、《私家醫情》等劇的編劇兼制作人David E. Kelley一手打造的律政喜劇，奧斯卡得主Kathy Bates飾演該劇女主角。
Harriet “Harry” Kom不相信事出必有因，但有時候事實並非如此。Harry曾是一名吝嗇專利權律師，她突然遭到辭退，離開報酬豐厚的律師事務所，被迫重新開始。她遇到了急需幫助的大學生Malcolm Davies，幫他了結了案子後，後者提出願為Harry打工。Harry很快找到了新的起點，並把辦公地點設在一家廢棄的鞋店。而此時，她在一起車禍中遇到了法律天才Adam Branch，Harry對法律嚴肅實際的理解讓Adam深受啟發，毅然決定離開現下體面的大公司投奔Harry。自此，三個個性不同但誌趣相投的人，加上鞋店助理Jenna的幫助，成立了“Harriet律師事務所兼精致鞋店”這一家獨一無二的公司。
